The Centre for Applied Statistics and Economic Modeling (CASEM) LTD/GTE is a Nigerian Company incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 and is Limited by Guarantee. It is, therefore, a not for profit professional services organization. CASEM is a technologically driven centre, engaged in the production, analysis, dissemination and modeling of quality statistics, as well as the advancement of statistical theory and practice in Nigeria. It is a centre of excellence in modern data management and economic modeling practices that strives to provide clarity to statistical and modeling issues as well as give direction and meaning to data production and economic modeling in Nigeria. CASEM is a platform for ideas and an agent of change in matters related to statistical procedures and economic modeling. Through our rigorous analysis, we are in a position to contextualise numbers for people’s understanding. Consequently, we shall produce quality statistics that will generate information with which users can react to the disrupting effects of our digital world.

CASEM is a learning centre with a global reach and our operations are based on modern entrepreneurial resources: people and technology. More importantly, we want to share locally the benefits of this global outreach. Another objective of CASEM is to ‘democratize the flow of information’ and provide a level playing ground in data access and provision. We also encourage the production of statistics that have practical utility and ultimately add intelligence to information.
